IMPORTANT: Lawn Squad and its independently owned and operated franchise locations DO NOT share customer SMS opt-in data, phone numbers, or consent records with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All text messaging originator opt-in data and consent is kept strictly confidential.

 

1. About This Policy & Our Franchise Network

Lawn Squad operates as a franchise system. The Lawn Squad brand is owned by its franchisor, and each Lawn Squad location is independently owned and operated by a franchisee. When you submit a form on lawnsquad.com or any Lawn Squad franchise website, your information  including SMS opt-in consent may be received and used by the Lawn Squad franchisor and/or your local independently owned Lawn Squad franchise location for the purposes described in this policy.

All franchise locations participating in the Lawn Squad SMS program are required to comply with this Privacy Policy, the Opt-In Terms of Service, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and CTIA SMS messaging guidelines.

2. Information We Collect

Personal Information:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and physical address
  • Payment information when you make a purchase or request a quote
  • SMS opt-in records, consent timestamps, and consent method (e.g., web form checkbox) for all communication channels
  • The specific Lawn Squad franchise location associated with your account

Non-Personal Information:

4. SMS Messaging Program

Program Overview:

Lawn Squad operates two SMS messaging programs available to customers who opt in via web forms:

  • Non-Marketing / Account & Service Messages: Appointment confirmations, reminders, rescheduling notices, service completion notifications, and account support communications.
  • Marketing & Promotional Messages: Special offers, seasonal promotions, discounts, and service updates. Requires separate opt-in consent from non-marketing messages.

Opt-In & Consent:

  • You will only receive SMS messages in a category if you have explicitly opted in to that category via a dedicated, unchecked checkbox on our web form.
  • We maintain timestamped records of all opt-in actions, including the method of consent, the form URL, and the date and time of consent.
  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
  • We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, and all applicable federal and state laws.

Opt-Out Instructions:

  • Reply STOP at any time to cancel SMS messages from that sending number. You will receive a final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent unless you re-opt in.
  • Opt-out requests are processed immediately.
  • Opting out of marketing messages does not opt you out of non-marketing service messages, and vice versa.

Message Frequency & Rates:

  • Message frequency varies based on your service activity and appointment schedule.
  • Standard message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless provider for details.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Supported Carriers:

Our SMS program works with all major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most regional carriers.

SMS Data Protection Statement:

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors that support our service delivery (such as SMS platform providers and scheduling software), solely for the purpose of delivering messages you have consented to receive. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. This restriction applies to all Lawn Squad franchise locations.

 

5. Franchise Network Disclosure

Lawn Squad is a franchise system. Each Lawn Squad location is independently owned and operated. When you consent to receive SMS communications from ‘Lawn Squad or your local Lawn Squad franchise location,’ messages may be sent by:

  • The Lawn Squad corporate/franchisor entity, or
  • Your local independently owned Lawn Squad franchise location, operating under the Lawn Squad brand

All franchise locations are required to honor opt-out requests immediately, maintain consent records, and comply with this Privacy Policy and all applicable SMS messaging laws. If you have questions about which entity is messaging you, reply HELP or contact us at info@lawnsquad.com.

6. Information Sharing & Disclosure

Service Providers:

  • Third-party vendors who assist in our operations (e.g., payment processing, appointment scheduling, CRM platforms)
  • SMS aggregators and platform providers solely for the purpose of delivering messages you have consented to receive
  • All service providers are contractually obligated to maintain confidentiality and data security

Legal Compliance:

  • If required by law, legal process, or to protect our legal rights
  • In response to valid law enforcement requests or court orders

Business Transfers:

  • In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data remains protected under the terms of this policy

All categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties, with the sole exception of aggregators and technology providers necessary to deliver the SMS program.
